The wait is over, and Xaphoon Jones’ latest mixtape drop, Xaphoon Jones Volume 3, is now here. The Chiddy Bang member showcases his production talents throughout 16 tracks, reworking some of the more popular records as of late.
Been aching for some new JT? Well, this isn’t exactly it, but it is a rather infectious remix of his hit track Cry Me A River. Up-and-coming producer B.Dolla injects some dance flavor into the already impressive single, as much of the vocals have now been stripped away and replaced with intriguing effects. Check the stream below to enjoy the club-ready reworking. Keep out for the mirror if the download gets disabled.
With the latest single from the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation surfacing earlier this week, Nashville DJ/producer Wick-it the Instigator comes through with a reworking of his own for Clique. Making the track more EDM-friendly, Wick-it ups the bass, adds some drums and gives us his trap rendition of the tune. With the news of Kanye West and Skrillex set to collaborate on a track, maybe this will give fans a better idea of what to expect. While the remix excludes Big Sean’s verse, you can stream and/or download the track down below. There will also be a mirror link below the stream if the original track goes over 1,000.
The way I found him was because he followed me on Soundcloud. @CBR_Beats_ remakes instrumentals and Remixes songs with the beats he makes. CBR stands for College Boy River. He is a 16 Year Old Producer/Engineer. Check him out. His Soundcloud, Youtube & Twitter is below. These are only few of his songs. Check it out!

On the first edition of Trap Tuesday, I would like to show you tracks that I discovered on Soundcloud. First, there is a new track by the duo Flosstradamus called “Underground Anthem” that takes it back to the roots of trap music with heavy bass and synth undertones. Sampling and chopping the words “underground” also adds to the lively feel of this track
Flosstradamus – Underground Anthem
Bassnectar remixing his own song? It must be good. Bassnectar released a trapstyle remix of his own “Vava Voom” song that features Lupe Fiasco. Sampling the original Lupe Fiasco, the beat drops into an echo-ing “ay” coupled with a high synth and hi-hats/snare combination. Although every artist seems to be getting a crack at trapstyle, Bassnectar executes this trapstyle remix flawlessly.

Look out for other trapstyle tracks in the future. Below are other tracks that intrigued me.
Afrojack and Shermantology – Can’t Stop Me Now (Paperbwoy Remix)
Kid Cudi – Trapped in My Mind (Kid Womp Remix)
DJ Khaled – All I Do is Win (Wick-it Trapwagon Remix)
As an avid listener of music, I try to expand my horizons on every type of music I listen to. In high school, I used to listen to rock and hip hop music. On the other hand, I grew to like electronic dance music and the different variations within that genre. Euphoric melodies and hard-hitting drums are synonymous with EDM festivals around the world. However, a new genre is starting to emerge called trapstyle music. As defined by many music enthusiasts, trapstyle music is the combination of a hip hop drum pattern with electronic dance music synths. The hard-hitting 808 drums, combined with heavy bass tones and electronic synths, give the listener an adrenaline rush similar to dubstep. Artists, such as Flosstradamus, UZ, and CRNKN, reinvented the craze of electronic dance music and drove trapstyle to new heights. However, one artist surpasses all the critical-acclaim obtained for this particular genre. Luminox, also known as Damage, produced many EDM tracks outside the trapstyle genre. However, his niche in trapstyle makes you wonder why he didn’t produce these kind of tracks before. Coupled with crisp hi-hats and bass tones, Luminox takes trapstyle to a new level of EDM music. Check out a couple of his tracks that you might want to add to your DJ set and/or playlist. Like him on Facebook and follow him on Twitter
